BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) –
This November, Beaufort County voters will head to the polls to decide the fate of a proposed 1% transportation sales tax aimed at addressing the county’s rapid growth and roadway infrastructure needs.
If approved on the November 3 ballot, the “penny tax” is projected to generate $780 million over the next nine years to fund approximately 65 road and safety projects across the county.
